Howard Louis Finger

Mr. Howard Louis Finger, 72, of Fuquay-Varina passed away Friday, September 8, 2023. He was born in Winston-Salem, NC, the son of the late John W. Finger, Jr. and Mary P. Finger. Louis was a graduate of Walter M. Williams High School Class of 1970 in Burlington, NC. He also attended the Technical Institute of Alamance, was an alumnus of UNC-Charlotte, and received his Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. Louis had many interests and hobbies over the years. After achieving a black belt in Taekwondo, he enjoyed fishing, photography, metal detecting, kayaking and more recently boxing with his Parkinson’s family. Louis was a laid back, easy-going individual who made friends wherever he went. Louis loved his wife of 50 years and enjoyed spending time with family, friends, especially his grandchildren.

Louis is survived by his wife, Sandra Clark Finger of the home; daughter, Christy Stancil and husband Victor of Angier; 3 grandchildren, Lindsey, Kaylin and Jacob; 2 brothers, John W. Finger, III and wife Kelly of Concord, Nolan C. Finger and wife Becky of Burlington; sister-in-law, Lyn Brandenburg and husband Dennis of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; several nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM Saturday, September 16, 2023, at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington and Saturday, September 16, 2023 before and after the visitation at the home of Christy and Victor Stancil.
