Hellen Black Collins

Mrs. Hellen Black Collins, 81, of Kipling passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Lillington, NC, the daughter of the late William Henry Black, Jr. and Bessie Marie Turlington Black. She spent her years as a loving homemaker to her children and grandchildren.

Hellen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Edward Brian Collins, Sr.; siblings, Billy Black, Ronnie Black, Sandra Page and Betty Lou Clack.

Hellen is survived by her daughter, Darlene Brown (Bodie); son, Brian Collins, Jr. (Shelby); daughter, Lynda Gardner (Schel); 6 grandchildren, Michael Weaver (Jessica), Danna Wilson, Michelle Gardner (Danny), Meagan Gardner, Dylan Gardner, Willie Bethune; three great-granddaughters; two sisters, Brenda Sue Yarborough, Lynda Ann Black; many special nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the home Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 2:00 PM- 5:00 PM.
