Helen Partin Smith

Helen Partin Smith, 94, passed away October 23, 2025.  She was born April 11, 1931 to the late George Clyde Partin and Inez Matthews Partin.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Odell Smith; sisters, Jean Parker and Patsy Salmon; brother, Rudolph Partin; and daughter-in-law, Linda Baggett Smith.  

She is survived by sons, Eddie Lee Smith and wife, Linda and Robert Dale Smith; daughters, Ellen Smith Allred and Tammy Smith Wortham; grandchildren, Joe Guy, Jason Guy, Alan Wuester, J.T. Smith, Alison Kronz, Bruce Wortham, Ariel Wortham; great-grandchildren, Cody Kronz, Chase Krontz, Gabby Smith, Jaden Guy, Jackson Guy, Emmett Guy, and Marshall Wortham; great-great-grandchild, Aria Kronz; brother, Bobby Partin and wife, Carolyn.

Helen enjoyed Nascar racing, especially “her man” Joey Logano.  She loved all flowers and plants.  Although she did not enjoy gardening, she enjoyed watching others labor in the soil.  She loved family gatherings and dinners and was known for her delicious cooking skills.  She was a devoted member of Kennebec Baptist Church in Angier, NC until health did not allow her to continue attending.  She will be greatly missed.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home, 1310 S. Main Street, Lillington, NC followed by a graveside service at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
