Gilberto Villagomez-Galvan

El Sr. Gilberto Villagómez-Galván, de 25 años, de Angier, falleció el 15 de octubre de 2023. Nació en Caracheo, Guanajuato, hijo de Gilberto Villagómez Gómez y Patricia Galván De Villagómez. A Gilberto le precedieron en la muerte su abuelo paterno, Ramón Villagómez; 2 tías, Audelia Villagómez, Lilia Villagómez; cuñada, Nahomi López.

Gilberto era un hombre de familia y disfrutaba pasar tiempo con sus hijos y su prometida. Trabajó para Fred Smith Company y siempre fue un hombre trabajador. Era el que unía a su familia y la luz de su familia. Le encantaban las noches de juegos y disfrutaba de muchos juegos de cartas y juegos de mesa. Le encantaba planear y hacer viajes. Era muy respetado y querido por muchos amigos que hablaban con él donde quiera que fuera. Tenía muchos amigos en todas partes. Le encantaba mantener a su familia y asegurarse de que siempre tuvieran todo lo que necesitaban. Le gustaba bailar y le encantaba ir a fiestas y reuniones familiares. Estaba muy interesado en trabajar en sus autos, especialmente en su Suburban, y le gustaban ver las carreras automotrices, la construcción de camiones y las exhibiciones de autos / camiones. Era muy inteligente y, sobre todo, disfrutaba de las matemáticas. Le encantaba ver deportes e ir a los partidos. No importaba la situación, siempre estaba ahí para echar una mano, no importaba la persona, el lugar o el momento.  Si prioridad eran sus hijos, prometida y sus padres y hermanos. Era un hombre muy cariñoso y muy amable y acogedor y siempre será recordado por todos. 

Además de sus padres, a Gilberto le sobreviven su prometida, Maritza Benítez; 2 hijos, Oliver Sebastian, Matthew Gilberto; hija, Nayeli Rosalie; su hermana gemela, Enedina Villagómez y su esposo Eduardo Hernández; hermano, Edgar Villagómez y esposa Brenda Santana Villagómez; hermana, Madelynn Nicole Villagomez; abuela materna, Dolores Ramírez; abuelo materno, Arturo Galván; abuela paterna, Enedina Gómez; 2 ahijados, Mario Ezequiel y Julio César; ahijada, Ximena Ortega; y muchos familiares y amigos.

Se llevará a cabo una visita desde las 5:00 p. m. del domingo 22 de octubre de 2023 hasta las 12:00 del mediodía del lunes 23 de octubre de 2023 en la casa de los padres, 59 Sunset Lane, Angier, NC 27501. A las 2:00 p.m. del lunes se celebrará una misa fúnebre en la iglesia católica de Santa Bernadette en Fuquay-Varina. El entierro se llevará a cabo en Lakeside Memorial Gardens en Angier.

Mr. Gilberto Villagomez-Galvan, age 25, of Angier passed away October 15, 2023. He was born in Caracheo, Guanajuato, the son of Gilberto Villagomez Gomez and Patricia Galvan De Villagomez. Gilberto was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Ramon Villagomez; 2 aunts, Audelia Villagomez, Lilia Villagomez; sister-in-law, Nahomi Lopez.

Gilberto was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his children and fiancée. He worked for Fred Smith Company and was always a hardworking man. He was the glue and light of his family to keep everyone united. He loved game nights and enjoyed lots of card games and board games. He loved planning and taking trips. He was very respected and loved by many friends that would talk to him anywhere he’d go. He had lots of friends everywhere. He loved to provide for his family and make sure they always had everything that was needed. He enjoyed dancing and loved going to parties and family gatherings. He was very into working on his cars especially his Suburban and he was into Automotive racing, building trucks, and car/truck shows. He was very smart and most of all enjoyed math. He loved watching sports and going to games. No matter the situation he was always there to lend a hand, it didn't matter the person, place, or time.  He was a very loving man and was so kind and welcoming and he will always be remembered by all. 

In addition to his parents, Gilberto is survived by his fiancée, Maritza Benitez; 2 sons, Oliver Sebastian, Matthew Gilberto; daughter, Nayeli Rosalie; twin sister, Enedina Villagomez and husband Eduardo Hernandez; brother, Edgar Villagomez and wife Brenda Santana Villagomez; sister, Madelynn Nicole Villagomez; maternal grandmother, Dolores Ramirez; maternal grandfather, Arturo Galvan; paternal grandmother, Enedina Gomez; 2 godsons, Mario Ezequiel and Julio Cesar; goddaughter, Ximena Ortega; and lots of family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM Sunday, October 22, 2023, until 12:00 Noon Monday, October 23, 2023, at the home of the parents, 59 Sunset Lane, Angier, NC 27501. A funeral mass will follow at 2:00 PM Monday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Fuquay-Varina. A burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier.
