Georgena (Gena) Ann Dickens

Georgena “Gena” Ann Dickens, age 45, of Lillington, passed away, Saturday, December 30, 2023 at her home in Lillington, NC. 

Georgena was born December 9, 1978 in Lee County, NC.  She was a graduate of Western Harnett High School and Central Carolina Community College.   Georgena was a loving and giving person with a heart of gold. Her famous nick name was “G-Money”.     

She was preceded in death by her father, Gene Dickens; grandparents, Louise and Willard O’Quinn, and Wilda and George Dickens; bonus son, Greg Wrench.

Georgena is survived by her mother, Diane Dickens; daughter, Jaylee Dickens; and son, Jake Dickens; bonus kids, Cody Desadair, Morgon Buchanan, and Wyatt Holt.

A funeral service will be held 3pm Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Holly Springs Baptist Church, 385 Holly Springs Church Rd., Broadway, NC 27505 with Rev. Jerry Parsons, Rev. Wayne O'Quinn and Rev. Scott Yow officiating.  Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends 6pm - 8pm Monday, January 8, 2024 at the church.  

Memorials may be sent to Holly Springs Baptist Church Youth Programs.
