A graveside service will be held for Frank “Butch” Fallon, who passed away on November 23, 2023, at Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, October 5th at 11:00 a.m. Please join his family and friends in celebrating his life and honoring him on this day.
Francis X. (Frank or Butch) Fallon passed away peacefully with his wife, Jo, by his side, on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 23, 2023.
He was born on Aug. 7, 1954, in Brooklyn, New York, growing up in Forest Hills, New York. Dr. and Mrs. Frank Fallon moved to Dunn, North Carolina, in 1971 along with four of their seven children. Frank embraced the southern lifestyle and made lifelong friends while attending Dunn High School and Campbell College where he graduated in 1978.
He was a retired IT professional living in the Bluffton/Hilton Head area of South Carolina. Frank was an avid musician playing with a number of bands across the years. He and his sister, Mary Ann, loved to play and sing together at family gatherings, lovingly referred to as “Fallon Fests.” Music was at his core whether he was playing, singing, composing, writing lyrics or creating threads of music on Facebook.
Frank was survived by his wife of 44 years, Jo Bonetto Fallon (formerly of Chalybeate Springs); his son, Patrick; and grandson, Greyson; along with his sister-in-law, Jan. He was also survived by his sisters, Lucille, Carol and Mary Ann; and his brother, Denis; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Francis and Elynore Fallon; sisters, Elynore (Bunny) Caro and Joan Fallon.
