Frances "Diane" Blackman Boggs Obituary
Frances “Diane” Blackman Boggs, 73, of Mamers passed away March 26, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 22, 1952 in Cumberland County, NC to the late Curtis Elbert Blackman and Lottie Isabell Hall Blackman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Ray Boggs; brothers, Tommy Starling and James Starling; and sister, Bitsy Starling.
Diane is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Johnnie Boggs; daughter, Tina Hildreth (Brad); grandchildren, William Boggs, Autumn Douglas (Jordan), and Timothy Boggs Jr.; great grandsons (who were her world), Daniel Flowers and Jarrett Douglas; sisters, Cathy Clayton (Duane), Sharon Marsh, Denise Matthews, and Brenda Owens; and her brother, Steve Starling.
Diane lived in Harnett County all of her life and was proud to call Mamers her home. She retired from Eaton Corporation after 43 years and then worked in convenience stores until sickness forced her to stop. Diane was a member of Raven Rock Presbyterian Church. She will be greatly missed, forever loved!
The family will receive friends from 2pm-2:45pm on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Raven Rock Presbyterian Church, 1440 Raven Rock Road, Lillington, NC. A memorial service to celebrate Diane’s life will be held at 3pm with the inurnment to follow in the church cemetery.
