Frances Matthews Roberson, 89 of Buies Creek died Friday March 8, 2024 at her home.

A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Dutch and Ruby Matthews. Frances attended Meredith College and Western Carolina University. After graduation, she taught school and was a home maker. Her hobbies included gardening, needlepoint, camping and mission trips in Mexico. Frances was an active member of Buies Creek First Baptist Church and sang in the choir.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 AM Saturday March 16, 2024 at Buies Creek cemetery with Reverend Dr. Michael Simmons officiating. The family will receive friends and celebrate her life at her home following the ceremony.

Frances is survived by her sisters, Wanda Register and Gretchen Snyder, daughter Beth Trainer and husband Mike of Apex. Son, Matthew Roberson and wife Cindy of Raleigh. Three grandchildren Kathryn Roberson, Walker Roberson, and Savannah Trainer.
