Emily Blake Steed

Miss Emily Blake Steed, 31, of Wilson passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. She was born in Raleigh, NC, and she was the daughter of Rick and Julia Steed. Emily was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Steed; maternal grandfather, Preston Sartelle; paternal grandmother, Helen Steed. She enjoyed playing basketball, softball, and volleyball while attending Ft. Chiswell High School in Ft. Chiswell, VA. After high school, Emily attended Wytheville Community College and Radford University.

In addition to her parents, Emily is survived by her 3 beautiful children, Nathan (9), Gracelyn (6), and Eli (18 mos.) who were the love of her life; brother, Benjamin Steed; maternal grandmother, Mary Ellen Sartelle; paternal grandfather, Sam Steed; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home & Crematory in Lillington.
