In Loving Memory of Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” Breder
It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Betty” Breder, aged 87, of Fuquay Varina, who peacefully left us on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Transitions Life Care in Raleigh, NC.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Betty was the beloved daughter of the late Josephine Cascio and John Bumpus. She shared a beautiful life with her late husband, Frank Breder, and was cherished by her family and friends throughout her journey.
Betty’s spirit of warmth and generosity touched everyone she met. Known for her kindness, empathy, and unwavering dedication to those she loved, she built a large, loving family that stands as a testament to her nurturing heart. She is survived by her devoted sister, Ellen Papakonstantis; her five beloved children, Debra Miller, Linda McCraw, Patricia “Kitty” Viscomi, Francis “Bud” Breder, and John Breder; and a joyful legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her grandchildren — Tracy Miller, David Miller, Michael McCraw, Jessica Breder, Victoria McCraw, Danielle Breder, Tyler Viscomi, Joshua Breder, and Courtney Breder — and her precious great-grandchildren — Sophia Miller, Emilia Miller, Serena Carrichner, Chloe-Jane Miller, Jaxon Miller, and soon-to-arrive Xavier Miller — were the light of her life.
Betty’s joyful spirit shone in the simple pleasures she loved: playing Bingo, dancing, entertaining with her spoons, and visiting the casino. Through every moment, she radiated joy and resilience, inspiring all who knew her.
The family will warmly receive friends on Wednesday, September 24th, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of her beautiful life beginning at 12:00 p.m. at O’Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home, located at 1310 S. Main Street, Lillington, NC.
Though Betty’s presence will be deeply missed, her loving spirit and the memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
