Earl Edward Herring

Earl Edward Herring, 86, of Kipling went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.  

Earl was predeceased by his parents Mack and Bertha Herring, brother George, wife Pauline, son Dayton, son Henry, and stepson Ron Romleski.  

He is survived by his wife Anita, his son Dave (Shannon) of Texas, his daughter Rhonda Diane Wilkes of Fuquay-Varina, his son Gene (Debra) of Wendell, his daughter Cindy (John) Hayes of Lillington, and his daughter-in-law Sandra Renshaw of Lillington.  Also, his sister Elizabeth Hockaday of Spring Lake, step-son Paul (Peggy) Romleski of Minnesota, step-son Don (Nat) Romleski of Minnesota, step-daughter Dottie (Bill) Howe of Tennessee, step-daughter Pattie Romleski of Minnesota, step-daughter-in-law Renee Romleski of Minnesota and numerous grand-children and great-grandchildren.

Earl loved his church and worked at the church’s food pantry and sang in the choir for many years.  He shared his time unselfishly through volunteer work.  He served in the Air Force for 22 years and worked in the Research Triangle Park for 24 years.  Earl never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone he came across.  He loved his flower garden and feeding his birds. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 2:00-3:45pm at Kipling United Methodist Church.  A memorial service will follow at 4:00pm at the church.  

Flowers are welcome; however, donations are preferred to either the Kipling United Methodist Church Food Pantry or Church Chancel Choir at Kipling United Methodist Church/ Dan Smith PO Box 88, Kipling, NC  27543.

In accordance with current North Carolina COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home requests that everyone in attendance practice social distancing.
