Donald Gray Reich

Donald Gray Reich, of Midlothian, 85, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2023.  Donald was born on June 17, 1938, in Durham, North Carolina. He graduated from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1961.  After graduating from college, he enjoyed a career which included civil service for TRADOC at Fort Monroe and also later as a defense contractor with Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl W. Reich and Lillian M. Reich.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Glasby Reich; and his daughter, Susan Reich Lilly.  Donald is survived by his daughter, Alesia Reich McMillion (Damon); sister, Mary Eleanor Kesler; sister-in-law, Sue Jo Glasby; and three granddaughters, Elizabeth Lilly, Eleanor Lilly and Claira McMillion.  He will be truly missed

A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Brandermill Church in Midlothian, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Susan Reich Lilly Scholarship, Tree of Lives, P.O. Box 11390, Norfolk, Va. 23517.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 beginning at 3:00 PM at Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington, North Carolina.
