David Wayne Redding, born on November 14, 1957, passed away peacefully at home on July 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
David was a skilled cabinet maker who was proudly self-employed for 35 years. He took great pride in his craftsmanship, creating beautiful work with his hands while building lasting relationships with those who knew and worked with him.
Beyond his work, David was known for his generous heart and unwavering willingness to help others. If someone needed a hand, he was there without hesitation, never expecting anything in return. Whether offering his time, his talents, or simply his support, David's kindness touched the lives of many.
He found his greatest joy outdoors, especially soaking up the sunshine, taking trips to the beach, and traveling to new places. Above all else, he cherished spending time with his family and friends. His love for those closest to him was evident in everything he did.
At the center of David's life was his beloved wife, Kathy, who was also his very best friend. Together they shared a life built on love, laughter, and friendship. Their bond was a source of strength and happiness, and the memories they created together will be cherished forever.
David was preceded in death by his father, Donald Walter Redding; his mother, Billie Vann Dixon Brown; his stepfather, James Riley Brown; his brother, Steven Redding; as well as his beloved Great Danes, Duchess and Angel.
He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Kathy; his children, Daniel Kloeffler, Christopher Redding, Alisa Werbelow and her husband, John Werbelow, Jennifer Redding and her husband, Aaron Sellers, and Brendon Redding and his wife, Angela Redding; his cherished grandchildren, Daniel & Trinity, Alexis & Ava, Ashton & Addison, and Keiley; his brother, Donnie Redding and his wife Kim. He is also survived by many loving family members who will cherish his memory.
David will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to helping others. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand and found joy in serving those around him. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his deep devotion to his family and friends, who meant everything to him. His selflessness, compassion, and quiet strength leave behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Though he will be deeply missed, David's love, kindness, and the countless lives he touched will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
