Danny Lee Jamis

Danny Lee Jamis, age 84, of Lillington, North Carolina, went to be with the Lord on December 9, 2025. He was born on December 18, 1940, in Chapman, Kansas, to Charles and Ina Jamis.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers Herb, Dean, Robert, Frank, James, and Wayne, as well as his sister, Dorothy. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sarah Jamis, and by his children: Kathi (Clint), Kandi, Phil (Becky), Kris (Doug), Damon, Justin (Krysha), Katie (Tyler), and Kassi (James). He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of 36 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one mighty dog, Samson, who rarely left his side.

Like his father and brothers before him, Dan was a proud Veteran, having served honorably in the United States Navy. After his military service, he retired from the United States Postal Service and later continued working with Air Capital Equipment until his final retirement at age 75.

Dan was a repeat cancer survivor and a man known for his grit and determination. His family and friends will remember him for his humor and resilience, his love of working with his hands, his care for animals, and the joy he found in visiting with each of his children.
