Clarence Lavern Cordevant, 95, passed away February 05, 2025, at his home. Clarence was born July 27, 1929, in St. Louis, MO, to the late Lawrence and Elizabeth Cordevant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wives, Bertha Cordevant and Mona McNeill; son, Lanny Cordevant; siblings, Hope, Alice Friedman, Doris, Ralph and Lester Cordevant; great grandson, Tyler Dandron.

He is survived by his son, Jerry Cordevant and wife Debbie; grandchildren, Eric, Melissa and husband Jake, April, Andy, Chris, Tess, and Nick; several great and great great grandchildren; siblings, Bill Cordevant of Illinois, Betty Reed of Utah, many nieces and nephews.

After serving in the US Army for seven years Clarence retired after many years as a machinist. The hobbies that he enjoyed were fishing, bowling, softball, and gardening. Clarence was known as a hard worker who continued chopping wood until his nineties. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.

The family will be receiving friends at Clarence’s home, 5485 Hwy 87 South, Sanford NC 27332.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Southside Baptist Church in Broadway, NC with Reverend Doug Houston.
