In Loving Memory of Clara Bianca Svageli Pacifico
May 12, 1930 - October 24, 2023
Clara Bianca Svageli Pacifico, a woman of remarkable strength, warmth, good humor, and resilience, passed away on October 24, 2023, at the age of 93. She was born in Trieste, Italy, on May 12, 1930, to her loving parents, Maria and Ferruccio Svageli.
Clara's journey took her from Italy to the United States in 1953, and she became a citizen on May 19, 1961. She embraced her new home and became an integral part of the community, leaving an indelible mark with her kindness and generosity.
Clara's life was a testament to enduring love, unwavering faith, and the embrace of family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank C. Pacifico, her son, Johnnie Roy Green, and her daughter-in-law, Sandy Ezzell Green. Clara is survived by her son, Paul Smith Green, her daughter, Susanna Green Johnson, and her son-in-law, Randy Johnson. Clara's legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Casey Kurtz, Paul Green Jr., Jeffrey Green, Jeremy Green, Kenneth O. Norris, and Brittany Goins, as well as three great-grandchildren.
Clara was a woman of many talents and passions. She enjoyed antique shopping, sewing, working in her yard, and collecting dolls. At one point, her collection numbered five hundred, evidence of her love for beauty and craftsmanship. Clara was also skilled in the art of crocheting, and she took great joy in making outfits for her dolls, along with blankets, pillows, and even pocketbooks. Her handiwork was so exceptional that it earned numerous awards at the state fair.
But Clara's talents extended beyond her creative pursuits. She was exceptionally kind, always eager to give toys to the children in the neighborhood and share her Italian dishes with family and friends. Her kitchen was a source of love and comfort, where she crafted meals that were as delicious as they were heartfelt.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 12th at 2:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillip Funeral Home & Crematory, 1310 S.
