Cheryl B. Griffin

Mrs. Cheryl B. Griffin, 59, of Broadway passed away Monday, November 3, 2025, at her home. She was born in Lee County, the daughter of the late Billy and Linda Strickland Baker.

Cheryl was the most loving person with the biggest heart. She had a love for her family, friends and her beloved pets.  She was known for her love of God, the beach, wiener dogs and of course, Dr.Pepper. Cheryl always met you with a gift in hand, showing her genuine love and compassion. She loved working in her yard, treating her petunias and banana bushes with tender care. Cheryl had a heart for animals and could never turn away a stray. She was a busy body and loved staying active, visiting family and friends. Cheryl will be greatly missed and always loved. 

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 31 years, Duane Griffin of the home; daughter, Makayla Griffin of the home, son, Michael Curtis Puckett of Eagle Springs, NC; granddaughter, Kaylee Griffin of the home; sister, Tonya Baker Keith and husband Terry of Cameron, NC, brother, John Douglas and wife Jacqueline of Moncure, NC; nieces, great nieces, aunts, uncles and close friends.

The family will receive family and friends from 12:00-2:00 PM Friday, November 7, 2025, at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Lemon Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Sanford.
