Bobby P. Wilson

Bobby P. Wilson, 83, of Bunnlevel, passed away, Sunday, December 24, 2023 at his home in Bunnlevel, NC. 

Bobby was born July 26, 1940, at home on the family farm in Harnett County to the late Nick and Louise Wilson.  He was a 1958 graduate of Anderson Creek High School and went to work on the family farm.  Later he was employed with Kelly Springfield and retired after 21 years of service.  Bobby was a lifelong member of Flatbranch Covenant Presbyterian Church and founding member of the Flatbranch Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Sandhills Antique Tractor Club.  He was a simple man and lived a simple life enjoying the outdoors, hunting, and a collector of old tractors.  Bobby never enjoyed traveling, but he traveled around the community checking on the crops and his neighbors.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be missed by his family.   

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jill Renee Lee; daughter-in-law, Tammy Buchanan Wilson; brothers, Charles Wilson, and Donald Wilson; and sister, Carolyn Wilson. 

Bobby is survived by his wife of 61 years, Brenda Wilson; son, Jed Wilson; grandchildren, Trey and Chastity Wilson, Amber(Hunter) and Brittany(Sean); great grandchildren, Ambria Wilson, Brysen Roberts, and Lochlan Farr.   

A funeral service will be held 11:30am Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Flat Branch Covenant Presbyterian Church, 130 Darroch Rd., Bunnlevel, NC 28323 with Rev. Thomas Cox and Rev. Alex Dorman officiating.  Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends 10:30am - 11:30am prior to the service at the church. 

Memorials may be sent to any children’s hospital in his honor.
