Bobby Lee Messer Obituary

Mr. Bobby Messer, 87, of Broadway passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Lillington Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lillington. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late James Alvis and Isabel Stewart Messer. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Messer; sons, Danny Messer and Gary Messer; great grandson, Dylan Chase Morrison, great granddaughter, Caitlin Martin; brothers, Bunk Messer, Freddie Messer, Ted Messer, Jimbo Messer; sister, Peggy Terry.

Bobby was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked many years in the construction industry and served as a superintendent. Bobby loved spending time with his family.

Bobby is survived by his sons, Bruce Messer and Johnnie Messer both of Broadway, daughters, Cathy Bowling of New York and Cindy Duke of Sanford; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; great-great granddaughter; brother, Wayne Messer of Lillington; sisters, Evelene Hudson of Lillington, Joyce Brantley of Lillington, Gail Williams of Lumber Bridge, Jean Dunn of Lillington; many nieces and nephews.

A private family graveside will be held at a later date.
