Betty Newman

Betty Lou Newman, 63, of Lillington, passed Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Pinecrest Gardens in Lillington, NC. 

Betty was born January 14, 1960 in Mt. Airy, NC.  She was a loving mother and was fun to be around.  Betty enjoyed fine food and listening to Elvis Presley.   

She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Louise Newman Smith; aunts, Mary Ann Sawyer, and Dale Elizabeth Scott; and uncle, Calvin Newman. 

Betty is survived by her daughter, Shannon Newman; father, Glenn C. Smith; and brother, Tommy Linberg Newman. 

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
