Ms. Barbara Anne Johnson Brown, 91, of Lillington, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2023.

Barbara was born January 6, 1932, in Harnett County, the daughter of the late David Willard Johnson and Bernetta Brown Johnson. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ruffin Brown Jr., brother, Douglas Johnson and sister, Celia Melvin.

Barbara is a member of Lillington Presbyterian Church and was active in her women’s Sunday school church and she would give of her service and time, humbly.

Previously, she was a member of the Garden Club of Lillington, and she enjoyed being a part of the senior line dancers and Eastern Star.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 2 pm at the Harnett Memorial Park.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Tom Brown & wife Faye, Ruffin Brown & wife Virginia and daughter, Marsha Falkner & husband Macy; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, sister, Carolyn King (Maurice) and many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends after the service.

The family would like to thank the Liberty Hospice Team and the staff at Green Leaf Care Center.
