Josefina Aurora Flores Peralta, age 99, of Bunnlevel, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on Friday July 10th, 2026.

Born on May 20th, 1927, in Managua, Nicaragua, Aurora was the beloved daughter of the late Ester and Rudolfo Flores. In 1959, she left Nicaragua to pursue work opportunities in Puerto Rico, where she lived and worked for two years before making her home in Brooklyn, New York, in 1960. A hardworking and devoted woman, Aurora spent many years as a waitress and seamstress, faithfully supporting her family both in Nicaragua and in Brooklyn. She was a treasured member of her community, known for her kindness, generosity, and the lifelong friendships she cultivated.

Aurora was a devoted Roman Catholic and a faithful parishioner of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn until her move to North Carolina in 2018. Above all, she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth, strength, and unwavering love enriched the lives of all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved son, Jaime Flores; her grandchildren, Jimmy Kim and his wife Katie; granddaughter Natasha Chavis and her husband Anthony; granddaughter Katherine Flores and her husband Erick; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Clarissa, Anneliese, Makenzie, Henry, Jolee, Connor, and Sophia.
