Arlene Hough Tant

Arlene Hough Tant, 76, passed away February 25, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.  She was born January 14, 1949 in Nash County to the late William and Rosalie Hough. 

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald Ray Tant; son, Scott Tant and his wife Cindy; granddaughter, Blakely Scott Tant; brothers, Fred Hough and Wayne Hough and his wife Doris; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Arlene enjoyed traveling with friends.  She loved her granddaughter and was very proud of her.  She loved family and cherished every chance they could gather together.  She was known as a wonderful cook and loved hosting meals.  She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Baptist Grove Baptist Church from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, with the funeral service at 3:00 pm.  A graveside service will follow at Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Flowers are welcome.  Memorial donations may be made to Baptist Grove Baptist Church (6140 Christian Light Road, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526) where Arlene faithfully attended.
