Mrs. Amanda Nicole Carpenter McDonald, 32, of Broadway, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021. She was born to Danny Williams and Tammy Carpenter in Raleigh. Amanda lived in Harnett and Lee Counties her entire life. Amanda is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Willie and Betty Lawrence, her paternal grandparents, Willie Lawrence and Betty Williams, her Aunt Rosie Baldwin and a cherished Uncle Jerry “Chubby” Sparks. Amanda and her husband John always giggled at the fact her grandparents had the same names. Amanda and her husband together enjoyed the benefits of reclaiming materials and their love of antiquing eventually turned into their business together. Amanda enjoyed being outside in nature and epic water gun fights with her husband.
Amanda is survived by her husband of 14 years, John McDonald, her father, Danny Williams of Raleigh, her mother, Tammy Carpenter of Hickory, sister, Crystal “Sissy” of Hickory, brother, Quincy of Hickory, Aunt Tina Alexander of Raleigh, Uncle Charles Williams of Raleigh, Uncle James Williams of Raleigh, Uncle Raymond Williams of Raleigh, Uncle Keith Carpenter, Brother-In-Law, Kevin McDonald and wife Patty, Brother-In-Law, James McDonald and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and her large extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 14th beginning at 11:00 AM at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel with Pastor Cecil McNeill presiding. Burial will follow the service at Harnett Memorial Park.
