Alice Faye Womack

Mrs. Alice Faye Womack, 79, of Lillington passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad B. and Elma Beasley Matthews, husband, Jay Womack, son, Joseph Bryant Patterson, grandson, Matthew Bryant Patterson, sister, Patsy Wallace and brother, Sammy Matthews. Alice owned and operated Womack’s Grocery for 35 years. She enjoyed making ceramics and later she enjoyed working with the children at Spring Hill Daycare.

Alice is survived by her children, Connie Roberts and husband, Donald Abbott of Lillington, son, Christopher Jay Womack of Lillington; 8 grandchildren, Justin Patterson, Amanda Ashley, Ashlee Patterson, Katie Patterson, Travis Roberts, Austin Roberts, Claudia Farmer, and Angela Stone; 8 great- grandchildren; 2 brothers, Larry Matthews of Sanford, and Jerry Matthews of Wilkesboro.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-12:45 PM Friday, May 24, 2024, at O’Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Danny Lewis officiating. A burial will follow in the Womack Family Cemetery in Mamers.
