Zinnia Magaly Pope Ruiz, 75, of Santurce, Puerto Rico passed away Wednesday June 15, 2022, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.

She was born September 17, 1946, in Santurce, Puerto Rico to the late Alma Ruiz Torres and Guillermo Pope Pena. Zinnia was preceded in death by her brother, Charles William Pope Ruiz.

Zinnia was a lover of animals, specifically her dogs Ricky, Pecky, and Sunny. She loved to read, listen to music, travel to the beach, and enjoyed dining at restaurants with family.

She is survived by her son, Antonio L. Hernandez Pope and wife, Kim; her daughter, Magaly Hernandez Pope and husband, Andres Olivo; and her grandchildren, Alexandria Hernandez Smith and Kristina Hernandez.

Private services will be held for the family.
