Mr. William "Billy" Powers, 50 of Lillington died Friday, October 28, 2011. A native of Harnett County, he was the son of the late Robert and Ida Geraldine Powers and was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Powers. Billy worked with Economy Tires in Lillington for over 34 years.

A memorial service will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday, October 30, 2011 at O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel with Rev. Dr. William Goodnight officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home, other times at his home.

Memorials may be made to a church or charity of one's choice.

Mr. Powers is survived by his daughter, Kari Redding and husband Chris of Lillington; son, Stephen Powers of Lillington; granddaughter, Keiley Redding; 2 sisters, Vickie Rouse of Rosehill and Teresa Smith of Stedman; brother, Richard Powers of Holly Springs.
