Rabon Knight, 74 of Lillington died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington. A native of Harnett County, he was the son of the late William Oscar and Burlena Patterson Knight. Mr. Knight retired from Cornell Dubilier Electronics. Following his retirement, he was self employed until 2002. He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Sharon Grim Knight.

Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Antioch Baptist Church, Mamers with Rev. Martin Groover and Rev. Robbie O'Quinn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at Antioch Baptist Church, other times at his home.

Mr. Knight is survived by his wife of 52 years,Doralene Brown Knight; 2 Sons, Jeffrey Rabon Knight of Broadway, Oris Knight and wife Ann of Lillington; Brother,Bobby Knight and wife Bernice of Advance; Sister, Laura K. Cagle and husband Allen of Carthage; 5 Grandchildren: Cassie Knight, Travis Knight,Craig Knight,Hayle Knight,and Matthew Knight
