William "Willie, G." Hardee, 63 of Erwin died Monday, December 22, 2014 at Rex Hospital, Raleigh

Willie was born September 6, 1951 to the late Earl G. and Ruby Lee Barker Hardee. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Scott Hardee.

Willie was a NASCAR fan and loved to garden. He was a mechanic and loved to race with his son.

Willie is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sue Hardee of the home, 2 children, Jonathan Hardee and wife April of Erwin and Jennifer Hardee of Erwin; 2 brothers, Robert Hardee and wife Linda and James "Buddy" Hardee both of Fayetteville. 3 grandsons, Blake, Lucas and Logan; and several nieces.

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 27, 2014 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, with pastor Randy Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
