William "Bill" Crissman, 75, of Cary, formerly of Harnett County went to his Heavenly Home on Thursday, August 18, 2011 after a valiant struggle with a physical affliction. He was the son of the late Loyd and Louise Long Crissman and was preceded in death by a brother, Johnnie Crissman; sister, Patricia Crissman; and great grandson, Bo Braswell. Mr. Crissman worked with the North Carolina Highway Patrol for 30 years until his retirement in 1986. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Cary.

Funeral service will be conducted 1:30 pm Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Bethel Baptist Church, Cary with Rev. Tom Farley officiating.

Burial will follow in the Pleasant Union Christian Church Cemetery, Lillington

The family will receive friends from 11:00am-12:00 pm prior to the service at Bethel Baptist Church.

Mr. Crissmon is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bonnie Britt Crissman; Daughters,Brenda Lou Mann and husband Kenneth of Apex; Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" Gray and husband Steve of Pittsboro. Brother: Jim Crissman of Southport.
