Obituary

William Neil Brown went to his heavenly home on June 24, 2010. He was born in Lillington, NC on April 24, 1918 to James Ernest and Sarah Elizabeth Davis Brown, who preceded him in death.

A veteran of WWII, he served in the US Army from 1941-1945 and 1946-1947. Upon his honorable discharge, he and his family lived in Sanford, NC until moving to Chicago, IL where he worked for S.K. Culver Company.

Upon his retirement in 1983, he and his wife Irene moved to Tucson, AZ later returning to North Carolina.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Agnes Brown; daughters Kaye and husband Jerry Sholl, Faye and husband Andrew Zahr and son James and wife Evolyn.

He was very proud of his grandsons, Mark Sholl, Timothy and Thomas Zahr, and Eric, Brandon, and Peter Brown, who are left to honor and cherish his life.

He also found great joy in his great-grandchildren, Jordon, Caleb and Joshua Zahr, Ashley, Nicole and Luke Brown, Nora and Paul Brown and Jansen Brown.

He is also survived by his brother Leon and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers and four sisters.
Graveside service will be held at Antioch Baptist Church cemetery on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM.
