William "Billy" Henry Black III, 70 of Spring Lake died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Highsmith-Rainey Hospital.

Billy was born September 13, 1944 in Harnett Co. to the late William, Jr. and Bessie Black.

Billy graduated from Campbell College with a Bachelor in Business. He served in the US Army. He retired with 30 years of being a NC State Auditor. He was a CPA doing taxes for his whole career.

Billy is survived by his wife of 37 years, Hyon Kim Black of the home, a son, William Joseph Black of Virginia; a daughter, Shana Jane Black of Linden; 5 sisters, Sandra Marie Page and husband Roger of Mamers, Betty L. Clack of Lillington, Helen Collins and husband Edward of Fuquay-Varina, Brenda Yarbarough of Florence, SC and Lynda Dixon of Bunnlevel; a brother, Ronald Black of Mamers; 7 grandchildren, Robert Anthony Bush II, Ashley Marie Black, William Hunter Black, Miranda Denise Black, Maria Abigail Black, Allie Black, Joseph Connor Black.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Gaulden officiating. Burial will follow at Summerville Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at the funeral Home and other times at the home of Betty Clack.
