Mr. William O'Dell Adams, 71, of Linden passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at his home. He was born in England, the son of the late Ray Adams and survived by his mother, Ellen Kathleen Warnes Adams. He was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam. Mr. Adams loved to fish and take care of his farm animals. He also loved NASCAR and was an avid Tarheel fan. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his partner, Gilda Shearin, brothers, Andy and Jimmy Adams.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, October 9, 2015 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel in Lillington.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Adams is survived by his brothers, Paul Adams, Mike Adams, Roy Adams, Jerry Adams, Fred Adams; sisters, Kathy Childree and Marilyn Hill; many nieces and nephews; partner, Debra Neidhart of the home, step-children; Carolyn S. West, Cathy Shearin, Joann Dresbach and husband Jeff, Jennie Bryant and husband George, David Dubasik and wife Lindsay, Travis Dubasik and wife Brandi, Danielle Knapp;step-grandchildren, Thomas West, Heather Riveria, Joey Blacketer, Eric Stanaway, Misty Wright, Ethan, Katelyn, Madison, Peyton, Brianna, Alex, Connor, Bella and Ethan; step-great grandchildren, Ivey Lynn, Luther, Adam, Patrick, Justin, Stormy, Haley, Kendra, Kashton, Caiden, Chanel and Carter.
