Mr. Waylon F. Smith, Jr., 85 of Fuquay- Varina died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Windsor Point. A native of Harnett County, he was the son of the late Waylon and Rose Lanier Smith and was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Myrtle Rose Haega and Debra Batten.

Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, April 12, 2010 at Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Green officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church, 238 Chalybeate Road, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526

Survivors include his wife, Julia Johnson Smith; Daughter, Nancy Winters and husband Denis of Fuquay-Varina; Son, Waylon F. Smith III of Fuquay-Varina; 8 grandchildren
