Virginia "Gina" Black Swain, 93 of Lillington died Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Harnett Woods Nursing and Rehab Center in Dunn. A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Sr. and Maggie Mae Salmon Black. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Sigmund Baer Swain; her sisters, Alean Yow, Flora Smith, and Mary Parker and brothers, William, Davis, and Neil Black.

Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Summerville Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Michael Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Mary Margaret Smith and husband Jeff of Lillington. Sons, Dwight Swain and wife Pam of Charlotte; Nick Hice and wife Mildred of Greensboro. Sister, Louise Quick of Sanford. Grandchildren, Trevor Smith and wife Lynn, Hunter Smith, Anna and Ashley Swain, Chris Hice and wife Joan and Mark Hice. 2 great grandchildren, Grace and Nicole Hice.
