Virgie C. Wade, 92 of Lillington died Monday, December 26, 2011 at Universal Health Care in Lillington. A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Jim Archie and Dorothy Smith Campbell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis E. Wade and son, Johnny Wade. Mrs. Wade was a member of Pleasant Union Christian Church in Lillington. She was an avid gardener, farmer and homemaker. Mrs. Wade also retired from Singer Manufacturing in Sanford after several years of service.

Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington with Rev. Cary Snelling officiating.

She is survived by daughter, Shirley Brown of Lillington, daughter, Dorothy Lutt and husband Paul of Arlington, WA, daughter, Joan Patterson of Lillington, son, Delbert Wade and wife Betty of Erwin; 10 grandchildren; 9 great- grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren;2 sisters, Reesie Farmer of Angier and Laura Dickens of Angier.
