Mrs. Vila Ellis Michaels,75, of Mamers died Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington. She was a life-long resident of Harnett County, the daughter of the late Larry Junion and Mary Margaret Butler Ellis. Mrs. Michaels was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jack Michaels. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Honesty and integrity were the cornerstones of her life with her family.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel with Rev. Bill Altman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM and other times at the home of Larry and Shannon Michaels.

Mrs. Michaels is survived by son, Larry Michaels and wife Shannon of Mamers, grandchildren, Leanne Michaels, Jack Michaels and Derick Bouchard, great-granddaughter, Madison Michaels; brother, Billy Ellis and wife Evelyn of Anderson Creek, her "fur baby" Babydoll and her dear friends, Joyce Cooley and Lisa McCauley.
