Vernon Gray Leslie, Jr., 48 of Broadway died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill. Mr. Leslie was the son of the late Vernon Leslie, Sr. and was preceded in death by an infant brother, maternal grandparents, Robert L. and Olive Thomas Brown, and paternal grandparents, Archie and Alma Bullard Leslie.

Graveside service will be at 4:00 pm, Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Leaflet Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Pat Fletcher and Lida Buchanan officiating.

Survivors include: Mother, Doris Brown Leslie of Broadway; brother, Richard Leslie of Broadway; and sister, Frances Jackson of Broadway.
