Mrs. Valley Phillips, age 84, of Lillington died Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Womack Army Medical Center, Ft. Bragg. She was born in Yancey County, NC the daughter of the late Silas and Leacey Higgins Silvers. Mrs. Phillips was a mother and a homemaker. She was very dedicated to her family. Mrs. Phillips was one of 17 siblings.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel, Lillington with Pastor Alex Smith officiating. Burial will be in Harnett Memorial Park, Lillington. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9:30-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
She is survived by her son, Tommy Phillips and wife Laurel of Lake Orion, Michigan, daughter, Suzan Phillips Kelly of Broadway, 5 Grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Gladys and Merandy both of Burnsville, NC, 2 brothers, Dolph and S.W.
