Valerie Anne Mattox Foust, 48, of Sanford, NC passed away Sunday February 6, 2022, at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford.

She was born December 25, 1973, in Cary, NC to Linda O'Donohue Mattox and Thomas James Mattox.

Valerie attended Central Carolina Community College and received her nursing degree in 1999. She would go on to pursue a career in the medical field as an LPN for several years. In her spare time, Valerie enjoyed gardening and working outdoors.

She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Ben Foust; her daughter, Victoria Birchenough and husband, Jeff; her sons, Alex West and Samuel Foust; her grandchildren, Kaiden Birchenough and Annabella Birchenough; her mother, Linda Mattox; her father, Thomas Mattox and wife, Chun; and her brother, Jeff Mattox.

A visitation will be held Saturday, February 12 from 2-5 PM at O'Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home, 1310 S. Main Street in Lillington, NC.
