Tommy Ray Horton, 78, of Lillington, died Friday, November 25, 2022 at WakeMed Raleigh Hospital.

Tommy was born February 2, 1944 in Wake County, NC to the late Talmadge Ray Horton and Elsie M. Wimberly Horton.  He grew up in Harnett County on a tobacco farm.  Tommy was a graduate of NC State University and received his master's degree from Mississippi State University.  He loved food and being at the campground on the Pearl River in Mississippi.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed jet skiing.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Horton.

Tommy is survived by his sons, Anthony D'Amico and wife Jennifer, Joel Horton and wife Janet; daughters Ashlee Britton and husband Matt, Michelle Willis and husband Bart; grandchildren, James, Emily, Connor, Dylan, Hayden, Avery, and Austyn.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
