Mr. Tommie M. Shields, 67 of Mamers died Friday, May 13, 2011 at his home. A native of Lee County, he was preceded in death by his wife, Delsie Shields and his father, Willie Shields. Mr. Shields was self employed as a residential carpenter. He was an active and dedicated member of Antioch Baptist Church, a Master Gardner and a member of several square dancing clubs.

Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 pm Friday, May 20, 2011 at Antioch Baptist Church, Mamers
with Rev. Martin Groover and Rev. Craig Morrison officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his mother, Elsie Clark Shields; Brothers, Ronnie Shields and Eddie Shields both of Sanford; Sister, Annie McElroy of Sanford; Step son, Devon Brown of Mamers; Step Daughter, Machelle Morrison of Mamers;
4 Step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren
