Mrs. Thelma Withers Sligh, 91, of Broadway died October 23, 2013 at her home. She was born in Harnett county, the daughter of the late James Adkins and Martha Jane Holder Withers. Mrs. Sligh retired as a nurse after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Sligh; brothers, Leroy Withers, Levy Withers, McBryde Withers, James Withers; sisters, Ilean O'Quinn and Vernelle Sloan. Mrs. Sligh was a member of Leaflet Presbyterian Church in Broadway.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Friday, October 25, 2013 at Leaflet Presbyterian Church in Broadway with Rev. Tom Spence officiating. Graveside service will be Friday, 2:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Park in Bennettsville, SC with Edward "Pee Wee" Taylor officiating.

She is survived by her brothers, Jerry Withers of Broadway and Foster Withers of Lillington; numerous nieces and nephews.
