Thedmon Franklin Tart, born April 16,1944, died on October 14, 2014 at Universal Health Care in Lillington. He was a native of Harnett County and graduated from Lillington High School where he was a member of the Beta Club. Following high school, he attended Chowan College for two years where he served as treasurer of the Kiwanis Circle K Club and studied graphic arts. He later attended Campbell University and studied political Science. Following college, he worked as a radio announcer in Siler City and Benson, NC. He returned to Lillington where he worked in the family garage and farm. For many years he attended Antioch Church in Erwin and sang in the choir. One of his favorite activities was serving as a volunteer fireman with the Flatwoods Fire Station and he received the Fireman of the Year Award in 1978.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul T. Tart. He is survived by his mother, Dorah M. Tart of Lillington; brother, Rodney M. Tart of Lillington; sisters, Paula T. Keeter of Asheboro and Delorah T. Jett of Raleigh.

Visitation will be held from 2pm to 2:45 pm on Sunday October 19th at the Lillington Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall in Lillington. Following visitation, a memorial service will be held at the Lillington Presbyterian Church at 3pm officiated by Dr. William C. Goodnight. A private family burial will be held later.
