Mrs. Thedies Jackson Simmons, 85, of Lillington passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Green Leaf Care Center in Lillington. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Zula Hobby Jackson and Arthur Jackson. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her husband, W.T. Simmons, Sr. , sisters, Elizabeth Pearce, Oma Black, brothers, James Jackson, Rex Jackson, Edward Jackson, Bill Jackson and Tommy Jackson. She retired from COTY of Sanford after many years of service.

Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington. The family will receive friends at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Saturday from 10:00-10:50 AM.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by her daughter, Martha Cummings and husband Fred of Lillington, son, Steve Worrell and wife Susan of Lillington, 4 grandchildren, Christina C. Valkanoff and husband Andy of Cary, Brian Cummings of New York, NY, Allison W. Currin and husband Bodie of Lillington, Emily W. Manhart and husband Jimmy of Coats, great-grandchildren, Addison Valkanoff, Anderson Valkanoff, Julie Currin, Emma Currin, Lee Currin, and Allie Manhart, sister, Mozelle Porterfield of Wake Forest, NC, many nieces and nephews.
