Mr. Temple Scott Brown, 50, of Lillington passed away Wednesday July 24, 2019 at his home. He was born in Bennettsville, SC the son of the late James David Brown and Felicia Temple Brown. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Nathaniel and Catherine Brown; maternal grandparents, Burnice and Mattie Lee Temple, great-nephew, Trace Blackmon and brother, James Nathan "Bucky" Brown. Temple was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was an artist, writer, and avid reader. Temple enjoyed fishing, sports and NASCAR. Temple loved animals especially his dog, Hattie Mae. He was a loyal fan of the N.C. State Wolfpack, Dallas Cowboys and N.Y. Mets.

Temple is survived by his mother, Felecia Temple Brown of the home; sister, LeAnn B. Blackmon (Ricky) of Lillington; nieces, Jessica Blackmon of Lillington, Sarah B. Brigman (Harold) of Eastover, Mattie Grace Brown of Broadway; nephew, Taylor Nathan Brown of Lillington; great nieces, Juliana Blackmon and Kali Brigman; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday July 27, 2019 at Raven Rock Presbyterian Church with Rev. Shirley Bain officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the graveside service.
