Ms. Sue Ann Brown, 79, of Buies Creek, formerly of Raleigh, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Harnett Health Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn. She was born in Ft. Sill, OK, the daughter of the late Hewitt A. Brown, Sr. and Edna Gregory Brown. Ms. Brown retired from nursing after serving over 30 years at Rex Hospital and Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. She also served as administrator for the Wake Med facility in Fuquay Varina. Ms. Brown was a member of Buies Creek First Baptist Church for many years.

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Buies Creek First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Michael Simmons officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 10:00-11:00 AM and other times at the home of Buddy and Brenda Brown.

She is survived by a brother, Hewitt A. (Buddy) Brown, Jr. and wife Brenda of Buies Creek and a niece, Amity Jo Brown and husband Simon Kelly of Bloomington, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Buies Creek First Baptist Church, PO Box 160, Buies Creek, NC 27506.
