Mr. Stephen Leroy Weirich, 72, of Lillington, NC passed away Wednesday August 18, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born June 26, 1949, in Shipshewana, Indiana to the late Phyllis Kitson Weirich and Elias Weirich.

Stephen served his country honorably as a sailor in the U.S. Navy. He would go on to pursue a career as a technician in the heating and air industry. Stephen loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed collecting gold and coins. Most of all, he cherished the memories shared with his beloved family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Mona Ward Weirich; his daughters, Shirley DeGraves, Brenda Weirich, and Karen Weirich; his sons, Jonathan Weirich and wife Amanda, Shawn McCaskey and wife Rose, and Michael McCaskey; his sister, Kathy Baratta and husband Dan; his brother, Carl Weirich and wife Linda; sixteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
