Staff Sgt. Glenn L. Rambeaut, age 73 of Broadway died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Highsmith Rainey Hospital in Fayetteville. A long time resident of Harnett County, he was born October 1, 1938 and was preceded in death by his father, Lacy Rambeaut. Sgt. Rambeaut retired from the United States Marine Corps, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam before he retired after 20 years of service to his country. After his retirement, he worked as a painter in the Broadway, Sanford, and Barbecue Church area.
Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, October 8, 2011 at O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel with Rev. Mitch Norman officiating. Burial will be in Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
In his honor, memorials may be made to a favorite charity of your choice.
Mr. Rambeaut is survived by his wife, Carolyn Brown Rambeaut; Mother, Ruth Parrish Bellamy of Raleigh; Sister, Anne Parrish Nowell of Garner; Step daughters, Kathy Norman and husband Ed of Sanford, Tammy Jones and husband Chris of Grimesland. 4 grandchildren: Mitchell Norman, Ashley Jones, Natalee Norman, and Kristen Jones.
2 great grandchildren: Rhett Norman and Claire Norman
