Miss Shirley Jean Thomas, 74, of Dunn died Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Harnett Health Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn. She was born March 3, 1939 in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Livingston Octavious and Thelma Lee Johnson Thomas. She was preceded in death by her brother, Archie Thomas of Lillington; sisters, Dale Thomas of Lillington and Alice Eastway of Michigan.

Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington with Rev. Larry King officiating. The family will receive friends at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home in Lillington from 10:00-10:45 AM.

Miss Thomas is survived by her nieces, Patsy Dunn of Dunn and Joanne Barefoot and husband John of Dunn; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
